Elyse Sutkus

Biography

Excited to join the US EPA’s Brownfields Program, Elyse Sutkus began working in the Office of Brownfields and Land Revitalization in Spring 2018. Elyse serves on the budget team and helps manage resources and contracts. In support of the program, Elyse has conducted research and national interviews to document past project impacts and results to help guide ongoing technical assistance and sustainable revitalization efforts. She also coordinates environmental justice efforts as the office’s point of contact on agency wide and interagency initiatives. Elyse began her career with EPA in 2017 working in human resources and administration in the Office of the Administrator. Prior to EPA, Elyse served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Gansu Province, China, where she taught English and Intercultural Communication at a vocational college. Elyse has a BA in Political Science (Stonehill College) and is planning to pursue an MPA in Fall 2019.
