Alan Weland is Vice President and General Manager of SUEZ New Jersey, which provides water to 1.2 million residents in the Garden state. Alan has more than 33 years of water and wastewater utility operations and engineering experience, providing operations technical assistance, engineering management, capital project design and implementation, capital program management, corporate business development, and management of complex water and wastewater systems. His engineering expertise spans the entire project implementation cycle from planning and design to construction management and start-up. He has held senior management / executive management positions for large water and wastewater systems in both the regulated utility and contract services sectors, including the second largest private water utility in the State of New Jersey and the largest public-private partnership in the North American wastewater utility industry. Alan earned a B.E. in civil engineering and an M.E. in environmental engineering from Manhattan College. He is a registered Professional Engineer in New Jersey.
