Audwin Samuel

Audwin Samuel has worked for Gulf Oil Corporation, Xerox Corporation, the U.S. Department of Commerce-Small Business Development Center, the Provost Umphrey Law Firm, and the Benckenstein Oxford Law Firm. Samuel has volunteered more than 30 years in his community, serving on many boards and commissions in Beaumont, as well as thirteen terms on the city council. Samuel has served on several state and national boards and committees such as: the Board of Directors for the National League of Cities, the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Committee of the National League of Cities (Chairman), the Programs Committee of the National League of Cities (Chairman), the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials Board of Directors (President), the Texas Association of Black City Council Members Board of Directors, and the Texas Municipal League Policy Committee. Samuel attendee Lamar University on a football scholarship and obtained his BS degree before pursuing a Doctorate Degree from Texas Southern University. After receiving his license to practice law, Samuel opened the Law Office of Audwin Samuel & Associates where he practices civil and criminal law. He is now a partner with his son in the the Samuel and Son Law Firm, P.L.L.C. Samuel is an active member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Prince Hall Masonic Order and the 100 Black Men of America.
