Takoma Park City Council
Cindy Dyballa was first elected in 2017 to the Takoma Park City Council. She serves on the metropolitan Washington Council of Governments’ Chesapeake Bay and climate & energy committees, and as a vice-chair of the NLC EENR committee. Before her election, she co-chaired the City’s Committee on the Environment, was vice-chair of the City’s Recreation Committee, and sat on the board of the local Takoma Foundation. A water resources professional with federal (US EPA, DOI, Cooperative Extension) and state experience, her consulting practice (Sligo Creek Resources) assists nonprofits and communities on water, energy and climate policies and programs. Cindy earned a master’s degree in natural resources management and a bachelor’s in environmental studies.
