Biography

Ed Rush has over 43 years in the fire service, both career and volunteer. He recently retired after 10 years as career Chief of the Hartsdale Fire Department, and has previously served as Chief of the Elmsford Volunteer Fire Department. Ed is also on the Board of the Volunteer and Combination Officers Section of the IAFC, and the Government Affairs Committee of the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs. In addition, Ed has 17 years’ experience as an elected official, currently serving as the Deputy Mayor on the Board of Trustees in the Village of Elmsford. Ed has a degree in Accounting from Fairfield University, and had worked for many years in the private sector.
