R. Timothy Weston

R. Timothy Weston is a partner in the global law firm of K&L Gates with a practice focused on energy and infrastructure project development, environmental counseling and litigation, natural resources management, and related administrative and legislative issues.  He serves as co-Practice Group Coordinator for the firm’s global Energy Practice Group and a leader in the firm’s public-private partnership (PPP) practice.  With over 44 years of experience, he has handled a broad range of complex project development, transactional, regulatory, and environmental litigation matters.  He has represented clients in a significant number of public-private partnership projects, including wastewater, water supply and stormwater projects in states across the nation,  as well as major projects involving other infrastructure, such highway, port and municipal parking system concession transactions.  He currently serves as an NCPPP Executive Board member.

Mr. Weston is 1972 cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, and earned his B.A. in mathematics with high honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1969.  Prior to joining K&L Gates, Mr. Weston served for eight years as Assistant Attorney General for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources, and seven years as the Department’s Associate Deputy Secretary for Resources Management.  A nationally recognized practitioner in the field of environmental law and natural resources management, Mr. Weston has been honored with listings in Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, Best Lawyers in America, and Super Lawyers.
